The 2026 season turned out to be one of our best yet.
After an unusually wet spring delayed our first honey pull, the bees more than made up for lost time. Once the weather settled, the colonies exploded with activity and rewarded us with a fantastic honey crop.
This year we focused on keeping our colonies smaller and stronger. Instead of letting the hives become oversized, we added honey supers and queen excluders only when the queens were at their peak laying cycle, allowing the bees to do what they do best.
We also expanded to four apiary locations throughout Van Alstyne, Texas, and we're happy to report that every location produced healthy, productive colonies. Hive beetle pressure was very low, mite levels remained manageable throughout the season, and our bees stayed remarkably strong from spring through summer.
One thing you'll notice this year is the color.
Our 2026 honey is a little darker than last year's harvest, giving it a richer flavor and a more robust finish while still being smooth and delicious.
We think it's some of the best honey we've ever bottled.
